This special edition contains 25 Popeye cartoons from the 'classic' Famous Studios period. From 1942 to 1957, Famous Studios produced 122 Popeye cartoons. These cartoons were produced after Paramount took ownership of Fleischer Studios, which originated the Popeye cartoon series in 1933. All cartoons have been digitally restored and remastered from the best 35mm and16mm film materials available.
