Porcupine is an indie rock band with a unique brand of inventive guitar-driven songwriting that fuses accessible vocal melodies with dynamic arrangements and tones in a class with the likes of Queens of the Stone Age and Swervedriver. Established in 2006, the band has an extensive song catalog, including making records with Steve Albini and currently on the DC-Jam label. As captivating as the recordings are, Porcupine is a must-see live act, supporting tours for Built to Spill, Mudhoney, Soul Asylum, Bob Mould, The Flesh Eaters, Ike Reilly, The Poises, Meat Puppets, Dinosaur, Jr. The Flaming Lips, and more. Coming out of the fog of COVID isolation, bandleader Casey Virock (vocals/guitar) rebooted the line-up, making a 4-piece capable of an expansive and ambitious sound that continues to push the band forward. Porcupine's new full-length record, Our Chemistry is a Tightrope, builds on its roots and sound that draws fans in, while taking risks and unexpected turns. Coming off an active 2023, including support for Dinosaur Jr. at Milwaukee's Summerfest, the long awaited LP is moving Porcupine forward in 2024. RIYL: Swervedriver, Queens of the Stone Age, Echo and the Bunnymen, Sebadoh, Failure. Hometown: Minneapolis

Press Quotes
'...bring the best aspects of '90s alt-rock, dreamy post-punk, and New Wave sensibilities into flourishing melodies and intricate songs that are both unpredictable and instantly memorable.'
—New Noise
'...their compositions are searing blasts of fuzz-drenched beauty tangled up in the gears of regret, loss and what's left of our battered hearts. They play with momentum, velocity and nerve.'
—Stereo Embers Magazine
