Rad Girlfriend Records maintains its commitment to DIY punk rock with this massive 73 minute compilation CD. 30 songs from 30 bands highlighting the best of the demo and band submissions that the label gets on a regular basis. Also included on the comp are a few surprises and more well known bands, most notably The Raging Nathans and DFL (Grand Royal, Epitaph). This is a fantastic way for the label to use their platform to give some lesser known bands exposure and recognition. The format is simple: bands from all over the world submitted 3 songs to the label, the label chose their favorite and put it on CD. Instead of just paying lip service to bands that send record labels demos, Rad Girlfriend did something about it. The idea is similar to the "Bullshit Detector" comps that Crass did in the 80's.
