Two bands from Dayton, Ohio come together on one piece of wax to pummel their way through 7 minutes of punk rock fury. The Raging Nathans tackle Side A with a well-calculated mix of pop sense and gruffness, including their take on the DEVO masterpiece "Gates of Steel". Rad Company, who hasn't released new material since 2013, round out the B Side with two new tracks of their signature mix of catchy, thrashing, pop punk. This record captures the rawness and the energy of both bands, like you were standing in the sweaty, beer soaked basement right next to them watching them play. Whether it's a ripping four-chord pop punk blazer or a thrashing jam with blast-beats, both bands deliver. Deliberately fast and unapologetically "no-coast", the four songs on this split will have both new and familiar fans playing this record on repeat. Think Jawbreaker on Crystal Meth. Think Face to Face meets Grimple. The Raging Nathans and Rad Company epitomize the term "D.I.Y." with each having released numerous records on some of the most reputable independent record labels around. Proof of this support comes as a co-release with Portland, Oregon labels Sex Sheet Records and Catnap Records as well as Orlando, Florida based Swamp Cabbage Records. Relentless touring has earned both bands respect in the underground community as well as establishing front man for both bands, Josh Goldman, owner and operator of Rad Girlfriend Records, as a fixture on tour for punk bands such as The Dopamines, The Queers and Nobodys to name a few. This split will appeal to fans of 90's era Lookout Records like Crimpshrine and Screeching Weasel as well as having equal amounts of contemporary appeal. Both bands have songs that will stick in your head and the credentials to back them up. Limited to 500 copies on black vinyl, each record comes with a digital download code and lyric sheet.
