A "Tsunami" of sound from the banks of the Neva: representatives of the Russian heavy scene, Stigmata, present their album Mainstream?. "Mainstream?" - the question mark at the end of the title of Stigmata's first full-length album in five years is not accidental. The release does ask a lot of questions. On the laws of existence of street kids, on the blind faith in global ideas and mass movements, on evil underground rock and the death of radio formats... Clean, clear arrangements, catchy melodic passages, catchy vocal melodies - the album is filled with these qualities. Whether it's "Mainstream" or not, is for the listener to decide. But the direction of development that the musicians of Stigmata have chosen for themselves, is quite clearly traceable on the new record. The famous Russian rapper Garri Topor has participated on the album, adding a truly evil verse to the track Vostok, and the shrill vocals of the frontman of the alternative group SCANG Nils adorn the track Yakorya. Mainstream? was made in the summer of 2017 at the Studio "Red Wave" in St. Petersburg, mixing and mastering carried out by Artem Klovsky with the cover idea and design of the album belonging to Denis Kichenko and Andrei Sharapko. Stigmata is one of the brightest bands on the modern heavy stage and one of the best live bands in the country. The band have toured around most cities of Russia, and also opened for Korn, Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, Ozzy Osbourne, Caliban and Bullet for My Valentine. The group is regularly invited to major Russian and foreign festivals, including Invasion, KUBANA, Sosedny Mir and others. Stigmata's discography contains 6 full-length studio albums, 1 EP, 7 singles, and 2 full-length DVDs.
