Sunrunner is a US based band out of Portland, Maine, formed in 2007. Their former albums were released in 2011 and 2013 respectively with a couple of EPs thrown in between. The band cites Black Sabbath, Rush and Iron Maiden as influences, but you can also hear that the musicians here have at one time or another had a lot of experience with classical music and jazz.

Press Quotes

I recommend listening to Keepers Of The Rite and Technology's Luster for the heavy metal side, The Plummet for the folk / shanty part and finally to title track Heliodromus, clocking in at 21 minutes for the full appreciation of the proggy side of this band. But actually I recommend listening to the album in full, several times over ...

     —Heidi Bobal, Power Prog Metal

The album almost clocks in at an hour, and features different musical styles and influences, all of which encompass the heavy metal and hard rock genres. Highly recommended for listeners into heavy metal, doom metal, hard rock and progressive metal.
