GRAMMY-nominated contemporary blues vocalist and keyboardist Teresa James and her band, The Rhythm Tramps, are long-time staples of the L.A. blues scene, and beyond. James has recorded with Walter Trout, Eric Burdon, Spencer Davis, Tommy Castro, Stephen Bruton, Randy Newman, LeeRoy Parnell, Neil Diamond, and more; performing live with countless others, including Marcia Ball, Levon Helm, Lloyd Jones, Delbert McClinton, and Eric Burdon & the Animals. She has been a featured act on Delbert McClinton's Sandy Beaches Cruises for more than twenty years. She is joined on this project by husband Terry Wilson; prolific songwriter, producer and bassist who has played with Eric Burdon, Jimmy Reed, Johnny Nash and Backstreet Crawler (Paul Kossoff). Project co-producer Kevin McKendree is an electric blues pianist, keyboardist, guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He is a former piano and B-3 player and bandleader for Delbert McClinton, has done extensive work as a session artist, and owns Rockhouse Recording Studio in Nashville. Drummer Richard Millsap was a long-time member of The Band of Heathens and is currently on tour with John Fogerty, of Creedence Clearwater Revival.

With A Little Help From Her Friends takes on the most famous songbook in rock and roll and succeeds in a major way. Highly recommended
—Mike O'Cull, Rock & Blues Muse
Possessing one of the sweetest voices in the blues, Texas-born, L.A.-based Teresa James is a 2023 BMA nominee for contemporary female artist of the year, and she shows why on this interesting disc. As familiar as the Fab Four's catalog may be, all of the
—Marty Guther, Chicago Blues Guide
James puts so much more oomph into the proceedings you'll never hear the Beatles the same way again. But that's a great tradeoff, a tribute to James' ability to resurrect the past and make it sound like the future.
