Passe Partout - unlock doors - go through doors - enter musical spaces of classical, jazz, tango or musette, interconnect them and find a unique distinctive style! The Trio Laccasax have splendidly succeeded in this very task. There is much to discover on their debut album: klezmer, melodies from the Balkans, rhythms from Latin America, waltzes from France, sounds from the old homeland of Russia and much more. But also the influence of classical music, which is the musical foundation, is unmistakable. Trio Laccasax describe their music as "chamber world music", a genre that the clarinetist David Orlowsky has named. On the first release of the trio, a mixture of self-compositions and arrangements of well-known pieces can now be discovered. Each piece has its own little biography. Thus, Brennero was created as part of a theater project with the Italian company Balletto Civile in the Italian province of Parma. Its rhythms take the listener on the journey across the Brenner Pass. Für Rapunzel is dedicated to Timofey Sattarov's daughter. It is an allusion to For Elise by Ludwig van Beethoven. For Timofey Sattarov, the composer and accordionist of the trio, jazz and world music are no less classical than contemporary music. With his music, he wants to allure the audience into a deep and attentive listening. "Music does not come with borders, but with contrasts one can work with, or, rather, with whom one has to work when it comes to prescribing the music to the heart and the ear". "Music has its ways with the people who yield it. You just have to come along" - saxophonist Andrey Lakisov adds. The two Russian-speaking musicians are united by the passion from their homeland, which they brought with them to Germany. They met while studying at the "Hanns Eisler" University of Music in Berlin. "If you see both of us as the head and heart of the band, Berlin's double bass player Bernd Gesell is the ground under our feet" - the two musicians admit.
