Under the direction of Whit Sidener, the band has won numerous Best College Big Band and Outstanding Performance Awards from the likes of Downbeat magazine. Here, in addition to a powerful big band program, the CJB presents the world premiere of Maria Schneider's composition - Three Romances - commissioned by the University of Miami for its Concert Jazz Band.
