Micky Moody, then guitarist with Snafu, met Bob Young, then tour manager of Status Quo, when they were on tour in 1975, and they became long-term rock 'n' roll partners in crime, sharing a taste for J.J. Cale, Area Code 615 and the like. Micky went on to an illustrious career with Whitesnake and Frankie Miller, while Bob continued working with Quo, co-writing many of their biggest hits. In the midst of this, with some time on their hands, they decided to make an album in 1977, produced by Deep Purple's Roger Glover, drawing on their many influences and talents. The recorded a second, initially unreleased album, and then over ensuing years made several singles, working with the likes of Cozy Powell, Lemmy, Graham Bonnet, and, yes, the Nolan Sisters, on the chart single "Don't Do That". This definitive 2-CD collection, a high-grade collection of good-time rock, along with the booklet notes, has been put together by Bob and Micky themselves, and includes four previously unreleased tracks. Including a stunning blues version of the Status Quo biggie "Caroline", written by Bob with Francis Rossi. The release is an intended precursor to recording a new album, and will be promoting it with interviews and maybe even a gig or two.
